Peter Wood is an experienced food & beverage professional with a long history of accomplishments in the region. Currently a partner in French Paradox Wines in Baltimore County, which specializes in classic Euro-centric wines, Spirit Shop, his latest project seeks to bring spirits and cocktails back to the home bartender where it belongs. Wood has a long history as a commentator on spirits and wines and has led hundreds of tastings, classes and educational events throughout his long and varied career. On a personal note, some would say Peter is the consummate work-a-holic. The kicker is that he derives so much pleasure from working it is difficult to put that moniker on him. He is an avid reader (come check out Spirit Shops Lending Library) and favors histories, biographies, mysteries, legal procedures, and of course, politics (distrusts wine critics). He will never admit this, but he’s a huge softie when it comes to his 4-legged kids – at the moment only 3 dogs and 2 cats.
